Formosina … for foodies, art lovers and coffee drinkers

Formosina is a new eatery that has opened in Maida Vale… and I may be a little biased when I say it is the best place in the area now to get a bite to eat, or to grab a coffee, or to taste one of the famous Lychee cocktails, it does belong to my mother after all. However, the fact that it is booked out every Sunday speaks for itself- the roasts (normally a choice between beef and chicken) are just mouth watering, if you’re not there early enough, the food will be sold out (the chef is a Michelin star chef after all).

The restaurant has been decorated with art work by artist, Maximilian Wiedemann (look at his art here) – so sometimes even if you’re not hungry the place has a great vibe to just sit and enjoy a cocktail (trust me they are deadly but so worth it).

For those like me that suffer hangovers that make them feel like they are dying (I swear I’m not being a drama queen), you have to come and enjoy Formosina’s brunch- the Bloody Mary is optional, although definitely recommended. Also because it’s so small and cosy, there are daily specials – meaning the menu will never be the same.

Formosina, 18 Formosa Street, Maida Vale, London W9 1EE
