I can’t stand when a brand takes a new ambassador that is not their ‘usual’ demographic/client and then transforms them into their brand stereotype. What is the point of that?
Drew Barrymore who is quirky and a bit boho is not who you would have thought of as the face of Neiman Marcus’ lastest campaign, and instead of bringing some of her style and dynamic into the shoot, they’ve totally transformed her. Why didn’t they just choose a celebrity that already fit their mould? It’s not like Hollywood is shot of sophisticated, fashion conscious, beautiful women. It is a shame, it would have been a breath of fresh air.
Ok, rant over.
It is an absolutely gorgeous shot by photographer Norman Jean Roy.
