This weekend I was more than excited to get onto my Eurostar train from Paris and head up to London. to celebrate Dafna’s 20th Birthday. From the moment I received the invite and read the theme“Barbie v.s Ken” where we were kindly asked to dress up as the famed Doll, I knew this was going to be a party I wouldn’t want to miss in the world – I have a soft spot for dressing up!
The party took place at Sumosan’s JAY BAR my favorite Japanese restaurant in London – the food is just divine, usually Dafna, Polina and I go there together for our girly nights out and so heir menu included all my favorite dishes (Sumosan tartare, Lobster salad, Black Cod in miso Sauce, Chocolate fondant & the dreamiest white chocolate pineapple) -
Let me just say that the Pink Factor was amplified to the max, including all of the following:
Fuchsia Balloons covering the ceiling ✔ - Pink Lychee martinis and Cosmos✔ - A Candyselection that could make even Willy Wonka Jealous✔ - Pouffy Rosed Flowers flowing over our heads✔ - Pink Lips cutouts over the ever so pink table covers✔ – Guessing gamethat kept us on our toes but for which Carina was way too good at and won each time✔ – Strawberry hand made Cupcakes – MR TEAZE the “highlight” of the evening, Dafna’s personalized stripper✔ - And the OTT Karaokemachine that we overly abused with our tuned shrieking (at least thats what I know I sounded like as in I still have no voice from the happening)✔ – And the prettiest Barbie Doll Cake made by Polina and her cousin for Dafna ✔
Our outfits on the other hand STRICTLY demanded:
Big, Big, Big Hair (Blondes got an extra point)✔ - Bold Make-up✔ - Feathery Eyelashes✔ – Pink Lipstick ✔ – Sequin Dress✔ – Pink Accessories✔ – and a big bright smile (easily achieve in such a situation, especially when Mr Teaze made his appearance, the boys on the other side weren’t so smiley, wonder why…)✔
The only person missing was our beloved Fallonista…Lets just say we had a BIG night on friday and her Love was in town. She was with us in a Sequin Spirit
